CARISSA W. BRUMBY
Carissa W. Brumby was born and raised in Indiana. She graduated with distinction from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology, a minor in Philosophy and an Honors Notation from the Hutton Honors College. Ms. Brumby earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in law school, she participated in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition, a criminal law externship with the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office and the Viola J. Taliaferro Mediation Clinic where she became a licensed mediator and conducted numerous mediations. Ms. Brumby previously gained about two and a half years of civil litigation experience serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida. Since joining Beytin, McLaughlin, McLaughlin, O’Hara, Bocchino & Bolin, P.A., in 2014, Ms. Brumby’s primary focus has been defending health care professionals, hospitals and other health care entities in medical malpractice litigation. Ms. Brumby is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association. She is also admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
