Born in Habana, Cuba, Yaima immigrated to the United States at the age of 13. She worked at a dental specialists’ office as a billing clerk while working towards her undergraduate degree. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Carlos Albizu University with Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Mrs. Holzman earned her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University. While in law school, Mrs. Holzman focused her coursework in the field of health law. She was a founding member of the law school’s Health Law Society and was a certified legal intern with the Medical/Legal Partnership Clinic. She also received a certificates for Excellence in Florida Research and Distinguished Pro bono Service.

Mrs. Holzman gained three years of civil litigation experience in private practice in Jacksonville, Florida before relocating to Alabama in 2016. While in Alabama, Mrs. Holzman obtained her license to practice in that state and practiced there briefly before returning to Florida.

Mrs. Holzman joined Beytin, McLaughlin, McLaughlin, O’Hara, Bocchino & Bolin, P.A. in 2017. Her primary focus has been the defense of hospitals and health care providers in medical malpractice litigation. Mrs. Holzman is a member of the Florida Bar, Alabama Bar, American Bar Association, and Florida Defense Lawyers Association. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jon C. Holzman, and their son Jon Hernan. They have a rescue dog named Milo and a rescue cat named Tally.
