PAUL A. NUGENT
Paul A. Nugent was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. He graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. in 1984. He received his law degree from Nova University-Shepard Broad Law Center in 1987. Mr. Nugent was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Society. During the summer of 1987, he studied international legal studies in conjunction with LSU Law School in Aix-en-Provence, France with renowned Law Professors, including Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia. Mr. Nugent has been licensed to practice law in Florida since 1988. He has over 30 years experience in litigating cases dealing with professional negligence, and general liability matters. He has received an “AV” rating (highest rating) from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Nugent is also licensed in the Federal Courts in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Nugent has spent his career defending civil litigation claims, including first party insurance claims, general negligence claims and health care claims. He has represented civil defendants throughout the State of Florida and has tried cases in over nine different counties. He has also represented healthcare practitioners with respect to licensing issues before the respective licensing Boards.
